The staff of scientists and scientific technical assistants is complete. The staff structure and specialization of staff scientists satisfy the scientific profile and main trend of research work of the Reserve.
The scientific department includes:
16 staff scientists (include the deputy director for scientific research);
6 engineers;
6 research laboratory assistants;
1 librarian.
Among the staff scientists are:
1 chief staff scientist;
3 leading staff scientists;
5 senior staff scientists;
5 staff scientists;
1 junior staff scientist.
One of the staff scientists have the professor of biological science academic degree (Valentine S. Pazhetnov), five of them are doctors, two are the postgraduate students.
The average length of service at the Reserve is more than 20 years, maximum is 38 years, average age of the staff scientists is 47 (34 was in 1984). These facts are the evidence of quality and succession of scientific research, and of some consenescence of staff scientists, although during the last time graduating students of Moscow State University and Tver State University were taken on the Reserve.
